Our Holiday Gite with pool is located in the centre of the beautiful Gascony countryside, in the land of the famous French musketeer D’Artagnan. Gers or Gascony is the land of relaxed living, fine wine and excellent food. Numerous delicious specialities are just waiting for holiday makers to sample, such as Armagnac brandy, duck or goose confit, world renowned foie gras, floc fortified wine, Pastis Gascon (filo pastry containing apples and Armagnac) and white garlic from area of Lomagne.
In addition to these culinary masterpieces, tourists will also discover an ancient and impressive architectural and rich cultural heritage, with fortified towns called bastides like Cologne and Saint-Clar castle villages such as Laressingle and Fourcès, many listed monuments and museums.
Other places of interest are Auch Cathedral, La Romieu Collegiate Church and the Church of Saint Quitterie in Aire sur l’Adour. These are all pilgrimage points on the Camino de Santiago, also known by the English as the Way of St. James or the Route of Santiago de Compostela (Road to Santiago).
