Large gite (pronounced 'jeet') with private pool situated in south-west France about an hour drive from the stunning beaches of the Atlantic coast, renowned for swimming, surfing and sunbathing.
Day trips can be made to the wine capital Bordeaux, glamorous Biarritz, San Sebastien in Spain and dozens of other towns and cities in this picturesque area of France. Head south and after an hour you’ll come to Lourdes, destination for pilgrims from all over the world and one of the most visited attractions in France. Continue south up into the Pyrennees where you’ll find breathtaking scenery, awesome waterfalls and mountain walks for all abilities
Closer to the gite is Marciac, a large village which hosts a world famous jazz festival throughout August and there are many other local villages which have fetes and festivals throughout the summer where for a small fee you can have a meal, free wine and dance the evening away.
When you want to relax you can stay at the gite and sit by the pool with a cool drink watching next years wine or armagnac grow and on clear days you can even see the snow-capped peaks of the pyrenees. Tomorrow's trip maybe?
